The difference between protocols
In addition to the main Shiva VPN app, which connects automatically and requires no manual configuration, you can use the service with third-party clients. Two modern protocols are available for this: WireGuard with DPI masking and Xray (V2Ray).
Available protocols
WireGuard
WireGuard with DPI masking is a fast and lightweight protocol known for its high performance and low latency. It uses device resources sparingly and is supported by most operating systems. In the Shiva VPN version, WireGuard is enhanced with masking technologies that help bypass deep packet inspection (DPI) systems and blocking, while maintaining stability and speed.
V2Ray (Xray)
V2Ray (Xray) is a powerful tool for bypassing censorship and protecting traffic. It supports various masking methods and flexible settings, making it particularly effective in regions with strict internet controls. Xray provides a high level of security, helps conceal VPN use, and is resistant to blocking by ISPs and government systems.

Which protocol should I choose?
